Ghanaian Dancehall artist Stonebwoy has reignited his feud with Shatta Wale, criticizing his recent monetary gesture towards team member MC Portfolio.

In a recent interview, Stonebwoy questioned the authenticity of Shatta Wale’s actions, branding them as deceptive tactics to intimidate and flaunt wealth.

The long-standing rivalry between two of Ghana's music heavyweights has seen its share of heated exchanges.

Although their feud has sometimes appeared as playful banter, it has often crossed boundaries, including a notorious altercation at the 2019 Ghana Music Awards that led to both artists being banned from the event until 2021.

In a recent interview on Angel FM, Stonebwoy did not hold back. Referring to Shatta Wale’s gift of GH¢5,000 to MC Portfolio, he dismissed the gesture as a mere “setting” to deceive and intimidate.

“If ‘big mouth’ is giving you money, it’s not a problem. But it’s a setting he used to deceive Portfolio,” Stonebwoy remarked, adding, “Do you know the cars I drive? The money God has blessed me with is far beyond this.”

Stonebwoy went on to ridicule Shatta Wale’s wealth, alleging that he stockpiles Ghana’s GH¢5 notes in his room to create an illusion of affluence. He questioned the sincerity behind the gesture, stating, “He thinks GH¢5,000 can intimidate someone.

Ask him how many times I’ve promised to give something bigger.”

While Stonebwoy’s comments have stirred reactions, Shatta Wale has yet to issue a response.
