The reason Vision FC defeated the Accra Lions in their Ghana Premier League week two match on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium, according to head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang, is that their strategies were flawless. As the matchweek two matches came to an end, the recently promoted team defeated Lions 2-0 to record their first-ever Ghana Premier League victory.
Vision's three points came from goals by Emmanuel Kyei Baffour and Elijah Addai in either half, moving them up to third place on the table with four points. "The boys' accomplishment is very amazing, in my opinion. We are well aware of the Accra Lions' superiority and that they would play 60–65% of the
game," Agyemang remarked following the game.
"Accra Lions is significantly superior and in the lead when it comes to ball possession. The strategy was to give them the ball, then open up space behind them so you could catch them on the counter.
"If we're able to score a goal or two, we know that they'll be in a hurry because they want to come and score, creating more space for us so that we can get behind them, and that's exactly what happened." In a matchup for match week three, Vision FC will play Legon Cities on Saturday at the Nii Agyei Kraku II Park.
