Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri has been awarded the 2024 Men's Ballon d'Or, recognizing his remarkable achievements for both club and country over the past season.


His critical role in Manchester City's fourth consecutive Premier League title win and his standout performances in UEFA EURO 2024 led to this top honor.


At the EURO tournament in Germany, Rodri's exceptional play earned him the title of Player of the Tournament as he guided Spain to victory.


The Ballon d'Or ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on October 28, saw numerous honors bestowed on the year’s most influential players.


Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí clinched the Women's Ballon d'Or for the second consecutive year, solidifying her position among the best in women's football.


Other notable awards included Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez winning the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper, and Rodri’s Spanish teammate, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, receiving the Kopa Trophy for the top player under 21.

In addition to individual player awards, Real Madrid was named Men's Club of the Year, while Barcelona received the Women’s Club of the Year honor.


Celebrated coaches were also recognized, with Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti taking the Men's Coach of the Year title, and Chelsea's Emma Hayes winning Women’s Coach of the Year.


This 68th edition of the Ballon d’Or marked the first time UEFA co-organized the event with Groupe Amaury, the owner of France Football and L'Équipe, further enhancing the prestige of the award.


Established in 1956, the Ballon d’Or remains one of football's most respected accolades, celebrating extraordinary achievements and talent in the sport.
