Liverpool’s first-team players were seen working out to Ghanaian artist Kidi’s song “Lomo Lomo,” featuring Black Sherif, in their training center ahead of their upcoming Premier League match.
A video circulating on social media captured players such as Luis Diaz, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, and Andrew Robertson doing various exercises while the Afrobeats track played in the background.
This is part of a growing trend where songs from Ghanaian musicians have made their way into European football clubs. Recently, West Ham used Stonebwoy’s song “Jejereje” in a video celebrating a goal by their Ghanaian player Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus scored his first league goal in a match against Ipswich Town and has continued his strong form, scoring the opener in West Ham's 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool is set to face Chelsea in a highly anticipated match this Sunday, with both teams looking to secure important points. Liverpool aims to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table, while Chelsea, led by new coach Enzo Maresca, will be looking to challenge their rivals.
