The payment, which covered three months of arrears for the 2023/2024 academic year, underscores the SLTF’s unwavering role in promoting financial stability for tertiary students, particularly those shaping the future of Ghana’s education system.

Announcing the disbursement on Friday, April 11, SLTF emphasized that this milestone reflects the government’s broader “reset agenda” — a comprehensive strategy to reinforce support structures within the education sector and ensure Ghana’s teaching pipeline remains uninterrupted.

“The SLTF remains steadfast in our commitment to ensuring timely, transparent, and efficient financial support services delivery for the benefit of students,” the Trust affirmed in its official release.

But the Fund isn’t stopping at this one-off payment. SLTF has pledged to implement fortified systems to prevent future delays, promising more dependable and sustainable allowance disbursement cycles in alignment with national policy directives.

This proactive step is designed to shield students from financial distress, allowing them to focus fully on academic excellence while reinforcing the stability of Ghana’s teacher-training ecosystem.
