A Ghanaian businessman attending the Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul was found dead in his hotel room on Tuesday morning, according to South Korean authorities. The man, who was in his 50s and identified as a company official, was staying at a hotel in the Gangnam district of southern Seoul.
Emergency services were alerted around 9:30 a.m. when a report was made that a guest was not breathing. Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the man had passed away. Initial investigations by the police revealed no signs of foul play, leading officials to suspect that the cause of death might have been due to an illness.
The businessman was in Seoul for a business counseling event held in conjunction with the Korea-Africa Summit. This significant event, which began on Tuesday, features delegations from 48 African countries, including 25 heads of state. The summit, held at the COEX convention center near the hotel, aims to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties between Korea and African nations.
